Call recording provdes a record of phone calls
Call Recording is becoming
increasingly important in daily business. Increased liability, and cases of fraud and threat make Call Recording an essential tool for organizations. Recorded telephone calls are being used
more and more to clarify what was agreed upon, or as evidence of fraud or threats. The Call Recorder IP’s many models give you the ability to record all of your phone calls, whatever the
circumstances.
“You shouldn't have to prove what was agreed on the phone. But
when it's necessary, you'll be glad we were there."
Agreements reached on the phone form an important part of business in the financial world, but are
also increasingly common in trade, industry, and the Civil Service. Using a recorded conversation as evidence of an order or agreement is common practice in these sectors. The Hard Disk Call
Recorder has been developed for this specific purpose, with all its recordings being available at any time. The reliability of the Call Recorder can make it possible for recording of agreements and
orders to become standard business practice.
Threat protection
In addition to the hard disk Call Recorder IP, the flash memory Call Recorder IP is the model
specifically designed to cope with security problems. Less storage is required because only threats or other selected calls are actually stored. Unlike the default mode of our other call recorders,
the Call Recorder IP Flash records all calls, but only keeps calls when a designated key is pressed during or after the call.
The rationale is that you do not need to keep all calls; only those calls (or call) that is the active
threat needing to be kept for later playback.. For this, not much memory is required, but all of the other functions need to be present.
That is why the Call Recorder IP Flash is such a good fit for potential threat environments. Such
environments could include: Schools; certain government installations; parks, stadiums and other tourist locations; airports; and so forth. The list of potential threat locations is unfortunately
growing; but that is the world we live in today. And the Call Recorder IP series has been designed to be an integral part of the immediate response arsenal in today's hi-tech communications world.
Recording calls as a security safeguard
A company or organization in the public sector, or with accountability to society, inevitably deals
with confrontations and discussions - unfortunately often including threats. Yet a person answering the phone cannot be prepared for all these situations. If an incident is recorded
automatically, an unexpected problem can always be discussed with colleagues or people in charge. For this reason Call Recorder IP's play an important role in protecting persons, organizations and
assets.

The Bottom Line
More times than not, you do not know ahead of time how important a phone call might be until itís over. Thatís where the Call Recorder is ideal - all calls are recorded
and indexed automatically for you You will find that recording all calls with the Call Recorder has many advantages. Imagine the benefits of having a recording of the complete dialogue of a complex technical
discussion, then reviewing it off-line after you have had time to think about what was said. This technique allows you to concentrate on the discussion without worrying about taking detailed notes during the
conversation. Similarly, telemarketing and help desk personnel can use it to review and improve their telephone skills and efficiency. |

Call Recorders |

The ìIPî in Call Recorder IP The new
Call Recorder IP offers users the connectivity lacking from previous models. The Call Recorder can simply be connected to the local area network, and also to the Internet, via the IP port. In this way recordings in the Call
Recorder can be transferred quickly and easily to a central server for archiving and backup. Because the Call Recorder IP effectively works as a FTP server, recordings can be transferred via the Internet or via a router and
dialup connection, with strict security guaranteed. The server can then archive all recordings centrally and conveniently with the software available. The combination of the Call Recorder operating independently of a PC, yet
easily connected to it, offers the user the high reliability needed for recording important calls. |
Flexibility from easy availability
The Call Recorder is usually placed on or near a desk, and connected to the telephone. This has many advantages over large central voice-logging systems. The recorder is quickly and easily connected, and works straightaway. Calls
can be retrieved and played back in a user-friendly way. Because of its simple operation the Call Recorder will really be used, and not seen as a remote privacy-threatening machine kept in the cellar. |
The Crypto Card: The ultimate in security The
newly developed Crypto Card technology for the Call Recorder IP offers an new dimension in security, not only when the recording is in the Call Recorder IP, but also when it has been transferred elsewhere. It is impossible to
play a recording without the correct Crypto Card and the pin code that comes with it, so that recordings can safely be sent via Internet. In this way several people with different Crypto Cards can make use of the same Call
Recorder, without being able to listen to each otherís recordings. The security of the Crypto Card overcomes the issue of company privacy, whilst also increasing the evidential value of a recording, because the Crypto Card
ensures that a recording is original and has not been tampered with. The Crypto Card is an option available with the Call Recorder IP. |

Compatibility: The key for ease of use Recordings
that have been transferred from the Call Recorder IP to a PC or server can be played on any PC with a soundcard. The file formats can be converted without loss of quality and sent by e-mail, for example. In this way an important
recording can be sent quickly and easily to the people who want to hear it. Crypto Card encoded recordings can be played by a PC provided with a Crypto Card reader. |
The Call Recorder IP Archive Software: Decentralized becomes centralized The great advantage of the TCP/IP connection on the Call
Recorder IP is the ability to make backups of the recordings quickly and to archive them centrally or distribute them. No special software is needed for this as the Call Recorder behaves like an FTP server, with standard FTP
software able to transfer the files from the Call Recorder. If you would like all your recordings neatly arranged in a central database from which selections can be made for conversion or further archiving, Call Recorder IP
Archive Software is eminently suitable. This Windows software automatically creates an archive for 1 to 4 Call Recorders. With the help of this archive CDís can be made, and conversations played or converted. Call Recorder IP
Archive Software is compatible with the PC Crypto Card Reader. |
Other applications of the Call Recorder The Call
Recorder does not only record telephone calls, it can also function as a high capacity audio recorder. It is especially useful when recording meetings. Its popularity in this application is the result of two important
features:There is no limit to recording time; and the recordings can be copied and distributed easily.
In this way recordings of a meeting can be put at the disposal of the participants via the LAN, internet or a CD-ROM.
Another application of the Call Recorder is as a headset telephone, meaning that loss of space on
the desk due to the recorder taking up extra room is not an issue. The optional footswitch is an ideal aid to transcribing minutes of meetings. |
The Monitor function The Call Recorder offers the ability to listen in to recordings via the net. This application is of special interest in training situations and Call Centers. The monitor function is
present in every Call Recorder IP. There is optional PC software available that makes it possible to connect to the recorder via the LAN and listen in to recordings.

Convenient Digital Technology
Using state-of-the-art digital technology, the Call Recorder is not a modified cassette recorder. The Call Recorder is in fact a compact
computer system which compresses and digitizes phone conversations then stores them as files on an internal hard disk. The benefit of this approach over a cassette tape is apparent whenever you need to access one of your
recordings. Even for just a few hours of conversations, searching and rewinding a cassette can be tedious. By contrast, The Call Recorder automatically maintains a database that allows you to instantly access your important
calls by caller ID, date and time or by a unique index text identifier of your choosing. Impressive Storage Capacities
The Call Recorder lets you save many more of your calls! By using advanced digital sampling and compression
techniques, the Call Recorder is able to store many times the amount of conversations as analog tape or DAT recorders. The actual storage capacity is dependent on the capacity of its internal 2.5 inch hard drive. The Call
Recorder is currently available in three models ranging from 1,950 hours up to 3,900 hours (check if more storage is desired). |
Easy To Use There are two basic ways to use the Call Recorder, it either records all calls for review at a later time, or else it records each call,
then prompts you following the call whether to save or discard that call. For convenience in using the Call Recorder to transcribe calls, a lightweight telephone headset is included. This keeps your hands free for using a
keyboard or similar tasks during conversations. Additionally, the Call Recorder can also function as a telephone with its built-in keypad, function keys, speaker and LCD screen. |

Index Your Calls You can optionally assign a text code of up to 7 alphanumeric characters to any conversations stored in the Call Recorder. For example, you
might enter the string "VIDI" on those calls to or from Vidicode. This indexed text can then be used when searching for certain specific calls. If your phone line has ANI (Caller ID) installed, the
Call Recorder can automatically save the phone number of calling parties in the code field for each recording. |

Conversation Database
Your conversations are stored efficiently and securely on the Call Recorder. For sensitive applications, a password can be set up that
will block anyone else from listening to your conversations. In case you fill up all available storage on the Call Recorder, it will continue to store new conversations by overwriting the older calls first. Software is
available to archive and playback important conversations on your PC, thus providing for almost unlimited off-line storage. |

Find Calls Quickly
Searching for specific calls is just as easy as recording. The last recorded call is played by pressing
a specific function button. Another special function allows you to search by date or indexed text (including Caller ID). Other function buttons allow you to move back and forth among calls in much the same way you operate a VCR
or audio cassette recorder. Since the Call Recorder stores recordings digitally. Recordings can be randomly accessed. The display indicates elapsed vs. total time of each recording, so you can easily seek out specific
parts of long conversations in just seconds. |
Full Featured Answering Machine
When you are away, the Call Recorder functions as a professional answering machine. Using a Call Recorder as an answering machine offers several
distinct advantages. The storage capacity is practically unlimited. Locating and listening to your answering machine messages is as simple as listening to recorded conversations, either locally or by calling in from a
remote telephone. As with the call recording function, your messages are password protected from unwanted access from a remote telephone. When you return to your home or office the display shows how many new messages have
been received. These can be played through the internal speaker by pressing one of the function buttons. You can also choose to save some of the messages and delete others - impossible to do with conventional answering machines.
Old messages can then be found based on date and time, Caller ID or other code of your choice. Co n v e ni e n t M e m o R ecorder
The Call Recorder is a perfect memo recorder or dictation machine. Simply put on the headset, press Record+Play and begin talking. Store multiple memos, each one time-stamped
for later retrieval. When used as a memo recorder, the Call Recorder has the same advantages - enormous capacity, easy searching and simple transcribing. An optional foot pedal control is available that lets you search, rewind or fast forward the
messages without using your hands - a real benefit to transcribers.
Important Meeting Recorder
Another use of the Call Recorder is for recording your important meetings. By using an optional microphone connected to the
Call Recorder instead of the headset, just start the recording at the beginning of the meeting and forget it. The Call Recorder captures the entire meeting automatically because of its huge
capacity. No matter how long your meeting lasts, youíll never have to hold up proceedings while you fumble with changing cassette tapes. Transcribing your meetings with the simple search and find functions of the Call Recorder.
